Caitlin Sims was born and raised in Odessa and began dancing at the age of 3. She has been trained in every style of dance, such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, etc. At a young age she began traveling to conventions and competing where she won multiple scholarships. These scholarships took her to both Los Angeles and Chicago where she received professional training from some of the most influential professional dancers in the world. Starting at the age of 11, she spent every summer in Las Angeles dancing at the prestigious studios in the area, where she not only improved her skills but developed relationships and connections with teachers such as Adam Parson, Eddie Garcia and Bill Prudich. While in Los Angeles, she got the opportunity to audition for traveling Broadway shows and was even able to be in a music video. During High School, she was a member of the Panther Paws dance team and held and officer position her senior year. That same year her team won National Champions and she placed in the top 10 with her solo.
In 7th grade she began assisting her dance teacher with her classes and realized her love of teaching. She has a passion for fostering the love of dance in young children and watching it grow as they get older. After High school, Caitlin taught at different studios and has worked with both the Showgirls and Panther Paws. To help students continue working on their dance training, Caitlin began taking her students to L.A. in the summers. Caitlin cannot wait to start this new journey and share her love of dance and God and watch it grow with a new generation. She hopes to inspire her students to strive to be the best they can they be, work as hard as possible and to glorify God with the love they have for what they are doing every day. |
