At the age of two, Mikayela Talley began her dance career. Mikayela has been trained in all genres of dance and loves getting the opportunity to grow and learn from those around her. Being born and raised in Odessa, Texas she got the opportunity to be apart of competitive dance and cheer teams in this wonderful community. In addition, she also enjoyed performing in musicals at the Permian Playhouse and Midland Community Theatre. At the age of ten, Mikayela got the opportunity to move to California to pursue her dream of entertainment. While in LA, she was casted for commercials, short films, feature films, and music videos found on Disney Channel, NBC, ABC and other networks. After becoming far too homesick, Mikayela came back to continue performing in the community. In high school, Miss Mikay was apart of the Permian Varsity Panther Paws and Varsity Cheer where she held multiple leadership positions. Upon graduation, Mikayela chose to spread her wings and attend Texas Christian University where she received a bachelor of science in Early Childhood Education. While in DFW, she took multiple classes at local studios and attended DCC Prep Clinics for fun. In April of 2019, she got engaged and decided that upon graduation she would be moving home. Seeing that she had a passion for both, children and dance, she focussed on finding a job that encompassed both. Mikayela is now the head dance and cheer director at Wilson and Young Medal of Honor.
Mikayela hopes to share her love for dance, and the Lord at En Croix Dance Academy. She believes that we are all given gifts from above and that it is our duty to give all glory to Him. She hopes to educate our youth on loving those around them and guiding them to find and chase what sets their souls on fire. She is ecstatic to continue this amazing journey at En Croix. |
